After several lockdown months, closed schools, physical distancing, home schooling for children and teenagers, social activities suspended, the pandemic that hit and changed the whole world, it seems now we are going to be back to school as normal and, above all, we are going to be together.

Unduetrestella, on the occasion of the Milano Design Week special edition in September, presents in its showroom Back 2 school - Back 2gether, an exhibition featuring two international design projects dedicated to children: EverDesk, a school desk, and Soappy, hand sanitizer printer. It seems that creativity is not involved, but...

“The true beauty of EverDesk is its versatility, timeless design and superior craftsmanship.” are the words by Eszter Papp, designer of the Reddot Winner 2021 desk that you want to have right by your side. Adjustable seat and footrest, with eight height settings, four desktop settings, seven foot support settings, EverDesk grows with children from age 3 till 99+. It is made from the best materials by craftsmen with carefully selected wood, European sessile oak from FSC® certified forests and wood harvested for the benefit of communities, wildlife and the environment. Every tree is replanted for future generations to enjoy. It is finished with child-safe, stain and scratch resistant Italian lacquer.

How many times have we washed and sanitized our hands? A lot! Who knows what children think when we talk about germs, viruses and covidsars19. With Soappy by Kai Li & Ran Zhang everything becomes easier and funnier! It is the prototype that makes hand washing a great time for children, and not just for them! Soappy is a hand sanitizer printer designed to encourage kids to foster the habit of washing hands regularly in a playful way. Like playing with a toy, kids can choose patterns of sanitizer they like on the screen of Soappy and get them printed on their hands. According to the level of how dirty their hands are, it can provide different groups of patterns. When the hands are dirtier, the patterns in a group become more complex, which contain more hand sanitizer.
