POLAE
We discover Marie a french women living in Yaounde in Cameroon who worked for several years as textile designer for differents ready to wear companies. One day she had the idea to create for her daughter a doll that would reflect what she is, the mix of two cultures. The following is the creation of POLAE, a brand of collectible dolls that cultivates its difference in its transcultural inspiration. Entirely made by hand in Cameroon, each doll is thought to represent the multiplicity of faces. Lovely!

The design is clean, uses natural materials and structured from simple geometric shapes that are known and comforting. The colors are neutrals with whimsical and colorful rainbow touches. All toys are made from plywood or spun wool and naturally hand made.
The brand name in Hebrew is a metathesis of the words 'human' and 'world', even with words it's fun to play! So nice!

The idea for starting Everyday Design came from wishing to create functional products that make the everyday life easier. Since 1995, Everyday Design has designed products that represent timeless design and sustainability. The products are suitable for homes and office spaces. Their ideology is that every product can be used in multiple ways. Everyday Design manufactures all its metal and wooden products in Finland. As their values, they design and manufacture sustainable products that have a clear practical use and an esthetic design. Amazing!
ANIMALESQUE
Founded in 2012 by London artist and textile designer Sara Lowes, Animalesque fuses Sara’s experience in embroidery design for high-end fashion, and costume design for theatre, to create beautiful handmade animal headdresses for boutique fancy-dress, theatre, fashion shoots, and weddings. The ethos of Animalesque is to make wearable pieces of art that appeal for their elegance and playfulness, whilst celebrating the rich and diverse cultural heritage of handcrafted textiles from around the world. Working from an archive of fabrics and embellishments mindfully sourced from her travels, reclaimed from theatre wardrobes, and up-cycled from old garments, the significance of the materials is integral to the design process.
OGO
OGO is a brand with roots that comes from islands, firmly attached to the wildest of natures, to its colours, to the immensity of the sea, to the salt, to the warm sand, the purest breeze, and the sun’s eternal embrace. The mild temperatures have marked the serene and peaceful character of their products.
OGO is a flexible brand which fits just as well in an urban setting as it does in nature. Their articles give a modern touch to any kind of furniture, with shapes and colours that adapt to every taste: the hall of a hotel, the waiting room of any institution, a play area for children at a Nursery… The possibilities are endless, just like your imagination and needs. Beds by Bermbach are not only stable and practical but also speak to our senses. They remind us of the beauty of functionality joined together with aesthetics, and the wonder of how natural materials and skilled craftsmanship are able to work together in perfect unison. Their focus is on the greatest possible use of natural materials in all the components needed to enable the little one to sleep peacefully in an environment free of harmful materials. At the same time they attach great importance to high-quality workmanship and a careful selection of materials. For this reason, Bermbach work with an experienced Japanese-Indonesian producer, who has revived and perfected traditional rattan weaving in modern factories in Indonesia. We love them all!

TOMAS KRAL
Born in 1979 in Slovakia, Tomas Kral has decided to work on a smaller scale than his father architect and urban planner. Tomas Kral established his product design studio in 2008 in Lausanne, Switzerland. In the context of industrial production and research, Kral’s approach to design is characterized by a clear preoccupation for materials and processes. In glass, cork or ceramic, Tomas Kral work on various projects ranging from products to lighting, furniture and accessories. He often takes inspiration in the tradition and ordinary situations and translate them with a touch of poetry and humor to simply, innovative solutions and clever everyday objects. In order to find a new creative approaches, shapes, details, assemblages and purposes he frequently observes and experiment with craftsmanship and the knowledge of manufacturers.

Look at Blueroom design & architecture: they are passionate about good design and beautiful and sustainable archi-tecture as well as travelling through enchanting landscapes and to fascinating cities. Since they are parents too, they are also interested in designing for children and families. For them, sustainable products have long lives and can be passed on to following generations; thus sparing resources. A lovely collection distinguished by its clear and uncluttered shapes and by its quality and solid workmanship. Their timeless furniture is suited for all ages: children, teenagers and adults. ORCHID EDITION
ORCHID EDITION is a brand-new project initiated by the 3rd and 4th generation of the Ledi-Krol family, who have been promoting rattan furniture since 1920. They present a new rattan universe where ancient technics are used to create elegant, refined and modern designs. Through shapes, curves and weaving, they wanted to highlight the richness of rattan material, its nobility and its warmth. They wanted to renew the codes and styles often associated with its design, while enhancing the extraordinary know-how behind rattan furniture. ORCHID EDITION choses to work with young and talented designers: AC/AL studio, At-Once, Guillaume Delvigne and Jean-Michel Policar. Beautiful!

Soft Limits is the consumer brand of American designer Ara Thorose. It’s debut collection, Soft Cylinders, features chairs created in Thorose’s form language. The 7M Chair, 5M Chair, and 5+5M are part of ongoing series that play between sculpture and design. Let’s read what he says. “My work is about line. I use line an artifact of movement. Each ‘soft cylinder’ becomes one line exploring movement. My cylinders have the circumference of a thigh. That sense of volume lends a sympathetic element to the work. It’s minimal and abstract, yet warm and playful.” Great!
