The agro-industrial and leather residues remain visible on the surface of the paper adding a remarkable and pleasing feel to the touch. The graphics on the covers are inspired by the nature and the delicate colours of the ecological papers by Favini. They have styles that satisfy both romantic and pragmatic tastes – thanks to the version with delicate foliage – and the more geometric versions of abstract flowers and leaves. THE SPACE BETWEEN BY JASON DOBBS

Traditional puzzles generally ask you to assemble an object to make a shape or create a picture. The puzzle is a kind of a reverse Tangram. The space between by Jason Dobbs is a shape forming puzzle that asks a player to form the outline of a shape or picture by using a series of pentagonal tiles. A player is presented with a silhouette of a geometric shape, person or wild creature and asked to arrange a series of tiles to form a continuous loop or outline to match the silhouette. The silhouette shape is created by the space between the connected pentagons. What to do you think?

REDESIGN OF THE CORRIDORS AT ST. JOHANNA PRIMARY SCHOOL BY ZMIK

Have a look at the project by Zmik for the corridors of the St. Johann primary school in Basel: in a co-operation process together with students and teachers they reconstructed the three main corridors into multi-functional areas of learning and recreation. A pioneering spatial structure for new learning has emerged. A «cave» and a «perch» are inviting retreats. Various work surfaces invite for individual and group work. Slide, balancing beams and bouncy balls support the concept of «dynamic lessons» whilst the lounge and the alcoves act as meeting and reading spaces. Expansive cloakroom areas form a border to the corridor. Smart spaces for good days at school!

BE(E) YOUR FRIEND BY WOODEN STORY

This spring Wooden Story wants to take care of the bees, feed them and present them with meadows, gardens, and allotments full of flowers. So please, join the land flowing with honey and their "(Be)e your friend" initiative.
Did you know that during one of its nectar runs a bee visits between fifty and one hundred flowers? It also has a "time clock" which tells it at what time of the day a given plant produces honey. For 150 million years, these little buzzing creatures have been producing honey in the same way. Their golden product consists of 80% natural sugars, 18% water, 2% minerals, vitamins, proteins, and pollen. They are the best crop pollinators. They also play a significant role in forestry, where they increase the yield of forest fruit (wild strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries).
It is hard to imagine our nature without bees, which is why global organizations support the protection and development of populations of bee gardeners. And while Wooden Story is a small, family-owned manufacture, it wants to join in the efforts at supporting bees. After all, using natural wax to preserve its toys, it has for years benefited from the effects of their hard work.
And that is how the idea for "(Be)e your friend" came about.
As of the beginning of March, you will find seeds of lavender, cornflower, nigella, and columbine with every Wooden Story toy box. Bees like their flowers the most. All you have to do is plant the seeds in your garden, pot, or box on the balcony, on the allotment, or simply in the meadow. Let's create “bee-feeders" together!
Help the bees! (Be)e your friend
