CELESTE TABLE BY DAM

Let’s discover one of the newest products by DAM: the Celeste table designed by Christophe de Sousa. This piece is composed of a wicker basket that rests on a marble cylinder finished off with a half-sphere. The coffee table represents a strong character that carries the basket on her back with the effort of her work. Thus, in an apparent balance challenge, the two simple geometric shapes are joined into a distinctive design that pays tribute to the farmworkers in the north of Portugal, the wicker basket is born by the hands of a local basket maker who weaves these more or less rigid vegetable fibres. Its tracery gives lightness and subtlety to Celeste, revealing the craftsman’s mastery and the Designer’s enjoyment in giving it functionality and beauty. The Portuguese marble from Estremoz connects us to the land and its generosity in a geological poem.

LA PALETTE

We totally fall in love with the natural colors of this beautiful slow designed collection!

COTTON FACE MASKS BY OOH NOO

In these sensitive times, we all need to protect and take care of each other to reduce the spread of the virus. The guidelines for wearing face masks vary across countries, but the authors of different studies conclude that it would be good if face masks were used by the general public as well.
Even face masks made of fabric significantly block the transmission of microorganisms and help one avoid catching droplets emitted from others.
Look at the ecological option by ooh noo: their two-ply cotton face masks which are washable and reusable.
Fabric face masks are not as effective as surgical masks, but may still significantly protect you and others.
Good job!

SEVEN THINGS ABOUT ME BY MERIH AKMAN

On instagram we discover Seven things about me and we love this project by Merih Akman (27), a Turkish girl who lives in Italy. In these endless days of quarantine she started to reflect on our confinement and on the suspension of our social life. Taking out her sewing machine, she decided to sew blue stripes on a white stained linen shirt. Once in front of this "empty page", she automatically started embroidering a list of things that she missed a lot, including songwriters, drinks and foods.
Then she asked friends to send her their lists of seven "things": seven wishes, seven "things" that make them who they are, seven things that they want to remember about this quarantine...
What will be your 7 things? List 7 places, objects, whatever you want, she will embroider them and she can mail your personal list!

PIKS BY OPPI

Piks by Oppi is a creative toy designed to develop children’s attention and concentration.
The aim of the Piks game is simple - to create the most original and impressive structure by positioning all of the pieces without any of it falling down. By playing with Piks, children explore the intricacies of balance while decision-making, motor skills and imagination all come into play transforming the players into artists in a performance of concentration and skill.
Piks’ rubber cones come in three sizes: little, medium and big ones. Multiple sizes enhance the decision-making process and playfully challenge the construction process. The second ingredient is a set of wooden boards, each shape providing support for different construction possibilities. Combined with the cones, some make bridges between towers, others a base, others... well, it all depends on the artist’s vision!
