GLAMP BY OOO MY DESIGN

Here you are the GLAMP lamp by Ooo my design, a self-production design studio based in Madrid born in 2009. It arises from the combination of experimentation with mobile structures and wood: a comfortable atmosphere by wood decoration, the sound of the slats movements, and hot ambient light. GLAMP lamp is inspired by the well-known Fun pendant lamp designed by Verner Panton, it comes from sustainable and proximity raw materials and seeking to optimize the packaging of the object and its pieces to the minimum. The lamp, designed by Gustavo Reboredo, consist of dozens of 18x18 mm brushed fir wood slats joined together by small black nails and 32 transparent nylon threads arranged and concentrically attached to the 30 cm diameter white lacquered wooden rose window. The movement of the slats, when breeze or wind enters the room, produces a singular, relaxing, and peaceful sound that contributes to the uniqueness of this lamp. Wonderful!

BLEU CITRON

Bleu Citron was created in 2021 by Clémence and Thomas with the ambition of helping children in their development. They worked on a series of everyday objects to encourage children to reveal their talent. Their first concept is a sweatshirt to decorate with collections of thematic patches!
As often as they wish, children can create a new decor on their clothing by scratching the crests of their choice. The possibilities become endless by combining the collections. To allow children to discover the world while having fun, each thematic collection will be accompanied by educational content prepared in collaboration with education professionals: an audio story, an explanatory leaflet and a pretty poster to decorate the room. The themes explored: places, environments, eras, artistic movements, or even essential subjects such as geometry or the alphabet. Wonderful!

VARBERGSTOPPEN PLAYGROUND SPHERES

Vårbergstoppen playground is a series of spheres for playing, climbing and hiding in a public park in Stockholm.  Vårbergstoppen is a constructed hill in the southern suburbs of Stockholm. The artificial landscape was created in the 1960’s using masses from the construction of the new subway lines.
City landscape architect Holger Blom lead the work of creating the two artificial peaks surrounding a perfectly round crater with a diameter of 100 meters. The perfect geometries of the constructed landscape worked as inspiration for work by AndrénFogelström, designing a bird watching tower, viewing platforms, signs, and playground equipment for the public park. As the suburbs of Vårberg and Skärholmen are being densified, the City of Stockholm is developing the landscape into a park with activities for all ages. A new playground is located near the entrance of the park, aimed at children of all ages. A large orange ball has landed in the steep slope of the hill. It appears to be rolling down but is safely anchored to the ground. The perforated metal filters the light from outside during the day, and at night the illuminated interior lets out a soft glow. In the winter it acts as a starting point for the sledding slope, and in summer it works as destination for little climbers of the hill. The younger children in the sandbox can hide in three smaller spheres, made from solid wood and placed at a safe climbing height. One sphere has a slide, another one has a little bench and small holes for peeking out. The wooden spheres are machined from solid pieces of fir using a large CNC router. The inside is painted orange with linseed oil paint, and the outside is treated with linseed oil to withstand the hardships of the Swedish winter.  The project is made in collaboration with Land Arkitektur, who has been responsible for the overall landscape architecture of the playground.  Amazing!

BOA POUF BY HEM

We totally love the donut-shaped Boa Pouf from Hem collection! This piece of furniture by the Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis is perfectly sculptural, a bold graphic form that interrupts interior landscapes with its funny chunky geometry. It is rounded and soft, encased in a seamless outer layer that gives it an air-brushed finish. Boa Pouf is made for perching on, propping up feet and lounging on!
