Anna and Alana, Former Physics and Design students, are the creators of the Momentix motionKit: the toy that lets you turn anything into a chain reaction machine.
22 wooden pieces, 30 cards to make 1000 combinations, and an online progression of increasingly difficult challenges strike the perfect balance between structure and freedom to keep anyone from 5 year old to teenage tinkerer, the whole family, or maybe even the dog engaged.

ATELIER PAOLO

Atelier Paolo is Guillaume, textile designer who works in Toulouse.

He makes fluffy rugs and play on textures using an artisanal technique which consists of inserting wool on a stretched canvas using a tufting machine. We love his dreamlike illustrations!

ARRAY

ARRAY is a collection by David Derksen of decorative and functional lighting. Each fixture has been designed and developed with dedication and produced in the studio in Rotterdam or at local partners. ARRAY started from the passion for lighting design and the long-held wish to bring a personal and uncompromising lighting collection to the market. We discovered them at last Milano Design Week at Alcova!

TILDE GRYNNERUP

Tilde Grynnerup, based in Copenhagen, is a multidisciplinary artist working across different medias such as textile, wood, installation, conceptual, photography, film. Her artworks usually aim to communicate a thought or a feeling. We love her “Heart” work, let’s have a look at it, wonderful and strong!

KRAKRA

KRAKRA is a young cosmetics brand based in Bordeaux, France, that manufacture in an artisanal way (and in small batches) solid soaps & skin care products inspired by ancient beauty rituals.

All their recipes are of 100% natural origin recipes and certified organic ingredients. Their products are guaranteed free of palm oil, synthetic detergents, artificial colors, parabens, sulphates or animal products. They have been formulated to meet the specific needs of different skin types: sensitive skin, dull skin, combination skin, problem skin, and very dry skin. Let’s discover KRAKRA!

FLORILEGIUM

The curatorial collective OTTN Projects is glad to announce Florilegium, is the first solo show in Italy by artist Rebecca Louise Law, hosted in Parma at Chiesa di San Tiburzio.
Rebecca Louise Law is a British Artist whose larger-than-life installations and site-specific sculptures capture the profound power of nature. The work presented during Florilegium exhibition is thought of as an actual being designed to evolve within the hosting space, following the natural course of time. The artist is driven by the acknowledgment of nature itself, particularly flowers which for the artist represent youth, happiness, and freedom, an infinite life. The title Florilegium comes from the Latin “to keep and to preserve flowers”. We totally love this site-specific and immersive installation that deals with increasingly urgent themes such as the strong yet delicate relationship between hu- manity and the surrounding nature.

We would love to introduce you Giorgia, the creator of Le Tapis brand. Beautiful playmats and muslins completely made in Italy by small local companies in GOTS certified organic cotton, with recycled sustainable packagings in recycled paper or waste fabric. Every piece can be customized by hand with an embroidery. Let’s make a step into this wonderful world!

Tom & Boy is a genderless fashion brand for children and young adult, based in Spain.
We love their new Weird Toys collection: a celebration of the uniqueness of each person and, in particular, of each child.
A selection of hoodies, sweatshirts, pants, t-shirts, and accessories that combine playful prints with comfy designs. Each piece is made of the highest quality deadstock fabrics and sustainable materials sourced from Protugal.

THE MINUS PROJECT

The Minus Project is a three year transformation from linear to regenerative furniture. Not only a product as a service model, not only a better standard of logging, not only design for reuse, but a complete compact value chain. Loose Parts, a Los Angeles-based sustainable modular furniture brand founded in 2019, we met at Alcova during 2022 Milano Design Week. Its furniture system is designed to adapt to changing needs and environments. Based on an intuitive building concept, the invitation to assemble, disassemble and reassemble drives its design process encouraging reuse. Every pieces is made with regionally milled hardwoods, recycled metals and non toxic finishes with longevity and reuse in mind. We love it!
