ROOGA

Rooga is inspired by the Somali word for rug. Rooga cork rugs are designed for baby's and children's rooms. They were born at the meeting point between everyday life, deep love for natural raw materials and passion for beautifully designed items. Rooga believes in a design that is simple, warm and full of charm.
It is drawn to quality, cleanliness and simplicity that contain both beauty and sophistication.
Each Rooga rug is made of a natural cork layer (on top), attached to a natural rubber layer (underneath).
They coat the rugs with a thin layer of food grade varnish, making them wipe able and easy to clean.
Rooga rugs are healthy, safe and sustainable. Their handmade illustrations combine imagination, art and playfulness and help enhance a warm family atmosphere.
Last, as part of their eco-friendly agenda, they wrap their rugs using craft paper and cotton bags (handmade by people with special needs).

We will keep a look at them!

BEDNEST

We discover Bednest who provides a beautiful baby cot for parents to let them sleep right beside their baby. It is very cool because it strengthens the bond between parent and child and, in addition, allow parents have direct supervision of their baby. Most important thing: the Bednest makes life more comfortable to the mother who just gave birth and who is not yet very mobile. Setting up it is easy, no screws are needed. The Bednest also has the function of a Moses basket and is easy to carry. We totally love it!

MyuM

It was during her studies at the National University of Fine Arts in Tokyo, that Faustine created her very first crochet vegetable. Back in her native France, the young Beaux Arts de Paris graduate shared her vegetable creations online, and no sooner, were they spotted by the iconic design store Colette. The orders started flooding in and the MyuM adventure took off. To keep up with the demand, Faustine was joined by a master crochet craftswoman who helped her set up a workshop in Southern China, where today there is a team of 30 women who crochet each toy vegetable by hand. MyuM is committed to ethical working conditions and environmental responsibility, which is why each of their soft toys is plastic-free and cruelty-free and made with organic cotton. Grocery shopping has never looked so good! Discover MyuM!

JEANNE LE STUDIO

Jeanne Le Studio was invented and founded in the middle of the COVID19-crisis - May 2020.

HONU

Claire Matthews, founder of Honu, was on maternity leave with her daughter when she heard that by 2050 there would be more plastic in the ocean than fish. She realised that 2050 is less than 30 years away, and started wondering what the world around us will look like then. She wants her children and future grandchildren to have beautiful, healthy oceans they can swim in safely, and she wants to be proud of the planet that I pass on to them.
So, she created GRETA THE GREAT™ - a playful solution to plastic pollution. It is a children’s toy made from discarded fishing nets and other end-of-life maritime industry plastics (like ropes). Inspired by the sea turtle, Greta the Great™ is waterproof and ideal for bath or water play. The toy was designed with a lightweight, abstract form to encourage children’s imagination. Love it!

ABEL

Two brothers, Folko and Jelmer, on an adventure together: Abel. Both brothers are driven by a desire to make life an adventure. Discover new things. Push boundaries.
They create a tent which would not just be to play in, but more especially to be played with. This play tent offers such a positive contribution to the development of children, and more importantly – it’s so much fun. But it is not all.
They also create a unique shape and an impressive format of the blocks. Every block is made with love and by hand from a piece of beech wood. They can be greatly used to advance fine motor skills, concentration, perseverance, creativity and fantasy. It is also fantastic game material to teach children to work together.
